Three new members have been elected to the California City Bank’s board of directors to replace three directors who resigned last month, said Robert D. Hoyt, president and chief executive officer of the bank’s parent, California City Bancorp.

One of those who resigned at the board’s Sept. 9 meeting was Richard Cordova, who also left his position as president after less than nine months on the job. Hoyt, the bank’s founding president, is serving as interim bank president and CEO while the bank searches for a new president.

The new board members are Barry A. Cottle, 36, executive vice president of land developer Century American Corp. in Orange; Frank T. Harrison, 42, who owns Harrison Heating and Air Conditioning in Anaheim; and Joseph P. Ruiz, 36, who heads the accounting firm of Ruiz and Co. in Tustin.

The other two men who resigned are Michael Joyce of Newport Interstate Properties in Newport Beach and financial consultant Kurt Mann. Hoyt gave no reasons for the resignations.

Cordova, Joyce and Mann remain as directors on the parent holding company, Hoyt said.
