The slaying of two men early Thursday on the east side of the Memorial Recreation Center on Ocean View Boulevard in Logan Heights may have been gang-related, said San Diego Police Department spokesman Bill Robinson.

One of the victims was identified Thursday as Miguel A. Contreras, 21, of the 3900 block of Polk Avenue. The second man’s name was withheld pending notification of his family.

Robinson said police in the area at 1:30 a.m. Thursday heard a volley of gunshots and, upon reaching the recreation center, found the men on the street with multiple gunshot wounds to their heads and upper bodies.
