Phone Book Delivery Begins in East Valley

Hand deliveries of about 260,000 Pacific Bell telephone directories began this week in North Hollywood, Van Nuys and Sun Valley.
About 150 carriers were hired to make the deliveries, which began Tuesday and are scheduled to continue through Oct. 19, said Vince Gage, area coordinator for Product Development Corp., the firm hired to distribute the phone books.
