Moshe Safdie Will Design Cultural Center

Architect Moshe Safdie has been selected to design the Hebrew Union College’s new $20-million Cultural Center for American Jewish Life. The center will be located in the Sepulveda Pass, midway between Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley.
The Hebrew Union College is the nation’s oldest institution of higher Jewish learning.
Ground breaking for the new center is scheduled for Feb. 17. The complex will include an expanded HUC Skirball Museum and an academic and conference center.
