Pacoima Boy Killed by Hit-Run Driver Named

Los Angeles police officers on Wednesday identified a 12-year-old Pacoima boy killed by a hit-and-run driver a few blocks from his home as Bernabe Reyes Jr.
Reyes, a sixth-grader at Sharp Avenue Elementary School, was killed about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday while crossing Terra Bella Street near Bartee Avenue, Officer Neal Humphrey said. Reyes died at the scene.
A witness described the car that struck the boy, but by late Wednesday police had made no arrests, Humphrey said.
