Nebraska Sen. Zorinsky Will Not Run for Governor

WASHINGTON —
Sen. Edward Zorinsky (D-Neb.) said Wednesday that he had decided against running for governor.
“It would be unconscionable for me to leave the U.S. Senate and abandon and throw away that investment that the people of Nebraska have made in me as their United States senator,” Zorinsky said. “I quickly realized that any of my aspirations for governorship would purely be for egotistical reasons,” Zorinsky said.
