A Berkeley man has been arrested while allegedly trying to collect $5,000 with an altered lottery ticket, San Francisco district attorney’s officials said. The man, Floyd William Marsh, 50, was arrested at lottery headquarters in San Francisco and charged with grand theft, forgery and counterfeiting. Officials allege that Marsh pasted a $5,000 square from one ticket onto another ticket with two $5,000 squares. Three matching squares are required to win.
