IBM announced the following executive appointments: Vice President James A. Bitonti has been named assistant group executive, Asia/Pacific Group, headquartered in Tokyo; Terry R. Lautenbach has been named president of its communications products division; H. Mitchell Watson Jr. succeeds Lautenbach as vice president-marketing, and Stephen B. Schwartz has been named president of the system product division.
