Six cities seeking a major league baseball team made pitches to the sport’s long-range planning committee in New York. Representatives from Vancouver, Canada; Columbus, Ohio; Washington; Denver; Miami, and Indianapolis made hour-long proposals.
Today, prospective franchise holders from Buffalo, N.Y.; New Orleans; Phoenix; Tampa-St. Petersburg, Fla.; the state of New Jersey, and Nashville, Tenn., are scheduled to make their proposals.
