Yorba Linda : 2 Areas Await County Approval of Annexation
If the county gives its nod, two neighborhoods that requested annexation to Yorba Linda may soon get their wish.
Last Wednesday City Council members approved an agreement to annex two areas pending further negotiations with the county, Assistant City Manager Bruce Channing said.
The two areas that are under consideration for annexation are an approximately 120-acre parcel around the intersection of Esperanza Road and Fairlynn Boulevard and an approximately 60-acre area around the intersection of Marda Avenue and Valley View, Community Development Director Phil Paxton said.
Before final approval is granted, city and county officials have to negotiate city property taxes for the areas now in the unincorporated county, Channing said.
