Street Widening to Be Discussed: The city will hold a community question-and-answer session to discuss the proposed widening of Bristol Street between 1st Street and Warner Avenue at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Carr Elementary School Auditorium, 2120 W. Edinger Ave. Residents and property owners on Bristol Street are encouraged to attend the meeting, which will use its findings for an environmental impact report for the project, according to city spokesman Michael Betts. Right-of-way acquisition is slated for 1987, with actual construction on the project proposed for 1989. The proposed street widening will be funded by a combination of federal highway monies and local funds.
