Three men were in jail Saturday on drug charges after Torrance and Los Angeles police busted a methamphetamine laboratory in a remote section of Riverside County near Lake Elsinore in the Cleveland National Forest, police said. Investigators seized chemicals worth $1 million, a machine gun on a tripod and 1,000 rounds of ammunition, according to Torrance police narcotics investigator Rick Glass. Bail for Trav Brant Goldworthy, 39, of the Lake Elsinore area and John Michael Mann, 34, of El Cajon was set at $250,000, Glass said. Bail for Torrance resident Thomas Faermstrom, 38, was $75,000. “It is our belief,” Glass said, “that the drugs manufactured in Riverside County were being distributed in the Torrance and Los Angles areas.” Arraignment is Wednesday in Riverside County.
