Prison Sites in Los Angeles

It is no coincidence that the City of Los Angeles owns property near Saugus. That location is a comfortable distance from the city limits and outside the city’s jurisdiction. After all that is, as I understand it, where the city’s alcoholic rehabilitation center was located. It has now been suggested as a site for a state prison. What business does a city entity have owning property outside of their own limits in the first place?

We on the high desert do not want nor should we accept the sludge, trash, toxic waste, prisoners or any other undesirable elements of others, as they would have us do. It is just too easy for them to always suggest our area as a dumping ground.

The state prison should be located in the City of Los Angeles where most of the prisoners are from. Forget the phony rhetoric about cost, etc.

There was a couple of places in California that actually wanted a prison located in their areas for economical reasons. The politicians could not even band together long enough to legally accommodate them and thereby please many. It is possible that we could be locking up the disgusting politicians (and there are many) along with the prisoners instead of reelecting them or sending them on to higher offices. We would then all be a lot safer--and that’s a fact.
