A 3-year-old Irwindale boy suffered first- and second-degree burns to his face and hands when several aerosol cans he was playing with exploded, blowing out the windows in the family home. Harley Simpson was in fair condition in the burn ward at County-USC Medical Center after the incident. Firefighters said the boy was playing with matches and a bag filled with spray paint cans when the explosion occurred. Nobody else was injured and damage to the house was minor.
