The condition of Kathy McNeal, of Ridley Park, Pa., one of two passengers in hockey player Pelle Lindbergh’s car during the accident that killed him, improved to fair, a spokeswoman at John F. Kennedy Memorial Hospital in Stratford, N.J., reported.

McNeal, 22, has been in the hospital with injuries to her liver and spleen since early Sunday, when Lindbergh’s sports car crashed into a concrete wall in nearby Somerdale.

The Philadelphia Flyers’ all-star goalie was accompanied by McNeal and Ed Parvin, who was seriously injured in the accident that left Lindbergh brain dead.

Parvin, 28, of Mount Ephraim, N.J., underwent brain surgery earlier this week and remained in critical condition at Cooper Hospital-University Medical Center, said a hospital spokeswoman.
