Chapman Scores Twice, Leads Cleveland to a 7-3 Victory Over Lazers at Forum

Andy Chapman scored two goals Friday night to lead the Cleveland Force to a 7-3 victory over the Lazers in a Major Indoor Soccer League game at the Forum.

With the score tied, 2-2, after one period, Cleveland got second-period goals from Peter Ward and Gino DeFlorio and never relinquished its lead after that.

Benny Dargle, Craig Allen and Ali Kazmeini also scored for Cleveland, which improved its record to 2-2.

The Lazers, who fell to 1-3, got goals from Beto, Juan Cardenas and Neil Gibson.

Batata and Cleveland’s Pasqual DeLuca were both ejected after they got into a fight with 15 seconds left in the game. Both will miss their team’s next game as a result of the skirmish.
