Two brothers have been ordered to stand trial on more than 50 felony counts stemming from a two-year series of crimes. Kevin Haley, 21, of South Los Angeles was ordered by Municipal Judge Patti Jo McKay to face trial on 31 counts, including the rape and murder of Dolores Celement, 55, and the rape and murder of Laverne Stolzy, 56. The other charges against Haley, dubbed by police a “one-man crime wave” and a “psychopathic rapist and killer,” include robbery, kidnaping and burglary. Haley faces more charges filed last month, including charges in the death of Jodi Samuel, 15, who was shot to death while running to catch a bus to school. His brother, Reginald Haley, 24, was ordered to stand trial on 25 felony counts, including robbery, kidnaping and rape. He was not charged with any of the murders. The brothers remain jailed without bail.
