The Nation : Snowstorm Chills West
Snow fell over much of the West, with more than 12 inches reported in the Colorado mountains, and arctic air blanketed most of Montana as the wind chill fell to minus 25 degrees in some areas. The snow stretched from the northern Plains across the northern and central Rockies to the northern Plateau. Another storm that dumped up to nine inches of snow across Wisconsin moved eastward, bringing heavy rain and snow to parts of New York, New Jersey and New England. Gale winds pounded the northeastern coast and travel advisories were posted.
