Police Warn of Burglaries: Brea police are warning residents to lock their garages following a rash of burglaries from open garages in the past two weeks. Thieves raided two garages Monday, taking a lawnmower valued at $400 and a purse with contents worth $300, police said. Similar property was reported stolen from garages in the city last week, police said.
