SDSU’s Women Win in Volleyball

The San Diego State University women’s volleyball team regrouped in the final game to beat Nevada Las Vegas, 15-0, 15-6, 8-15, 8-15, 15-5, Friday in a Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. match at UNLV.

Angelica Jackson led SDSU (8-8, 25-18) with 15 kills and 17 digs. The Aztecs finished in a fifth-place tie in the PCAA with Cal State Long Beach. UNLV dropped to 4-11, 15-16.

In other action:

Pepperdine 3, USIU 0--Julie Evans, who had 16 kills, paced Pepperdine (11-0, 19-5) to a 15-11, 15-4, 15-3 win in a West Coast Athletic Conference match at Pepperdine. Claudia Johnson had nine kills for USIU (5-16, 13-16).
