L.B. Councilmen Vote Themselves $50 Raise
LONG BEACH —
With no debate, city councilmen have voted unanimously to give themselves a $50-a-month raise effective Jan. 1. The self-imposed pay hike makes each councilman’s salary $1,050 a month. Under the City Charter, councilmen can give themselves a 5% raise each year.
