Local News in Brief : Westlake Council May Ease Satellite-Dish Ban
Predicting that satellite television technology will soon reduce receiver dishes to “hubcap size,” Westlake Village city officials may seek to loosen rules that now ban outdoor antennas.
City Council members said this week that they will poll 14 homeowners associations in the city to determine whether the groups are willing to amend deed restrictions that outlaw antennas. City laws now correspond with the deed restrictions. If the associations loosen their deed restrictions, the city may relax its own laws governing outdoor antennas, city officials indicated.
