Orange : Groups Plan Series of Gun-Safety Programs

Share

In an effort to prevent accidental shooting deaths, organizations in Orange are holding four “firearms awareness programs” that are free and open to the public.

The first of the programs will be held Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at Cerro Villa Junior High, 17852 Serrano Ave., Villa Park. Similar programs, all at 7:30 p.m., will be Thursday at Canyon High School, 260 S. Imperial Highway, Anaheim; Monday at El Modena High School, 3920 Spring St., Orange, and Dec. 11 at Orange High School, 525 N. Shaffer St.

The programs will not “consider the question of whether weapons should be kept in the home,” but will address safety measures for use in homes with children, said Jacque Wilson, administrative assistant for Orange Unified School District, one of the sponsors of the forums.
