Nuclear Weapons Test Set

LAS VEGAS —
The Department of Energy has scheduled a major nuclear weapons test for 8 a.m. Thursday in the Nevada desert 79 miles northwest of Las Vegas. A department spokesman said the test would have an explosive yield of 20,000 to 150,000 tons of TNT.
