Temple City : Water Study Discussion

Share

A meeting to discuss a study on problems with the East Pasadena Water Co.’s service will be held by the county Department of Public Works at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Temple City High School gymnasium, 9501 E. Lemon Ave.

The county retained the Pasadena-based consulting engineering firm of Brown and Caldwell to conduct the study after Homeowners for Water Rights, which represents many of the company’s 2,600 customers, complained of poor service and high rates. The company serves customers in unincorporated areas of East Pasadena and Temple City and parts of Arcadia and Temple City.

Last year, the state Public Utilities Commission found that more than $7 million in improvements were needed to upgrade the system, which dates to 1910.
