Cincinnati Bengals Coach Sam Wyche has been sued for $1.2 million by New Orleans law officers who claim he attacked a deputy who tried to serve court papers on a Bengal player last year.
The suit claims that Wyche slammed a door on the arm of deputy Charles Kertz during the Dec. 9, 1984, incident at the Superdome. The incident occurred just before the start of the Bengal game against the Saints when Kertz tried to hand Cincinnati defensive end Glenn Collins a subpoena in a lawsuit filed against him by a California bank.
