I am the father of a mentally and physically handicapped son who is now 40 years old. He has two things going for him--a wonderful attitude and a good singing voice. So, my great thanks to NBC, the writers, producers and the great cast of “Punky Brewster,” whose Nov. 24 episode featured Bonnie Irseth as a mentally retarded school custodian. Episodes like this make television worthwhile.
