Huntington Beach : 5 Held on Drug Charges After Two-Month Probe

Undercover officers on Monday arrested five people for conspiracy to sell cocaine and sale of cocaine and confiscated illicit drugs with a street value of about $500,000, a sheriff’s spokesman said.

The arrests came after a two-month investigation of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department and Cypress Police Department, sheriff’s Lt. Dick Olson said. All five suspects were booked at Orange County Jail; bail was set at $250,000 each, he said.

Arrested were Harry Duncan Mitchell, 28, of Huntington Beach, who was taken into custody in the parking lot of a Beach Boulevard restaurant in Huntington Beach, and Denise Marie Honc, 24, of Huntington Beach, who was arrested at her home.

Also arrested were Walid Elias Abdulnour, 21, of Long Beach, George Raya Naji 23, of Bellflower and Philippe Joseph Atallah, 30, of Huntington Beach, who were apprehended in a shopping center parking lot at Warner Avenue and Golden West Street in Huntington Beach, Olson said.

During the arrests, several vehicles and residences were searched and officers confiscated 1 1/2 kilograms of cocaine and smaller amounts of Valium, Quaaludes and other drugs, Olson said.
