STAPLETON, Ga. —
Bicycle tracks and footprints on a dirt road were the only leads police had Wednesday in a desperate search for two 12-year-old girls who have been missing for four days.
A Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department spokesman in Louisville said the search for Jessica Barrow and Elizabeth Tanner, which drew about 300 volunteers Tuesday, will continue. The girls were last seen by a relative late Sunday afternoon riding their bikes on an isolated dirt road near Stapleton.
