Pomona : Land Use Forum Scheduled
The public has been invited to offer suggestions on alternative uses for surplus state hospital land and buildings at a forum Jan. 13 in Lanterman Developmental Center in Pomona. Developmental Disabilities Area Board 10 will conduct the session from 2 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Recreation Hall at 3050 W. Pomona Blvd.
The forum has been called at the request of the state Council on Developmental Disabilities, which is seeking long-term uses for developmental centers, formerly called state hospitals. Spokesmen for Area Board 10 said that several mental health groups will participate in the forum and that testimony will be restricted to the use of state hospital properties. Area Board 10 is receiving applications for testimony at 1300 W. Olympic Blvd., No. 300, Los Angeles 90015.
