Santa Ana : Development Fees for Freeways to Be Topic

Share

Proposed developer fees to pay for new freeway construction in Orange County will be discussed at a public meeting Monday.

Several cities in the county have already approved the fees, which would be levied on any new construction projects because those developments put more pressure on the already congested transportation system, according to city officials. The revenues would go toward freeway construction in the San Joaquin Hills and Foothill Eastern Transportation corridors.

The meeting will be held at 7:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers at City Hall. Any written comments on the issue should be mailed to the Clerk of the Council, 20 Civic Center Plaza, Santa Ana, Calif. 92702.
