Times Names Larry Strutton Executive VP
Larry Strutton has been promoted to executive vice president, operations, at the Los Angeles Times.
Strutton, 45, previously was vice president, operations. He will continue to be responsible for the administrative services, production and information systems departments.
Strutton joined The Times in November, 1983. He previously worked for the Detroit Free Press as executive vice president responsible for operations, advertising, promotion and research. He also spent 16 years with the Rocky Mountain News in Denver.
Separately, the newspaper said Willard Colston, chairman of the Los Angeles Times Syndicate, has been given the additional title of director of development for The Times. In the newly created position, Colston, 49, will be responsible for new business development.
