A 21-year-old UCLA senior whose throat was slashed during the robbery of the University Guest House was reported in good condition in a local hospital. The young woman, who authorities declined to name, was working as a desk clerk at the 63-room hotel which opened last year to accommodate visiting professors. She was stabbed with the jagged edge of a broken vase and nearly strangled with an electrical cord, UCLA Police Lt. Karl Ross said. The robber or robbers took $2,800 and a 200-pound safe.
