The 19-year-old son of game show host Chuck Woolery was killed in a motorcycle crash on a Brentwood street, police said. Charles Daniel Woolery died when he apparently ran his motorcycle into an island in the middle of a cul-de-sac on Tarcuto Way and was thrown into a curb, Officer Dennis Swanson said. Woolery, who lived with his parents in Manhattan Beach, was killed instantly. He was not wearing his helmet, which was still strapped to the back of the motorcycle, Swanson said. Annie McCormick, a spokeswoman for Reg Grundy Productions, which produces “Scrabble” and “Love Connection,” two shows that Woolery currently hosts, confirmed the teen-ager’s death. Woolery, best known as the host of the popular television game show “Wheel of Fortune,” also hosted the first several programs of the state lottery’s “Big Spin” jackpot game.
