Rolling Hills : Swanson Joins Rail Study
Councilwoman Gordana Swanson has been named to represent the Southern California Assn. of Governments on the Los Angeles-San Diego Rail Corridor Study Group, which was established by the state Senate to conduct a technical and policy study of Amtrak rail service between San Diego and Los Angeles.
The study will focus on service improvements, including speeding up schedules and increasing reliability and frequency of service. Swanson, a councilwoman since 1976, is vice president of the Southern California Rapid Transit District board of directors.
