Cuyamaca Rancho State Park will have its own AM radio station beginning today, providing current information on the park’s activities and attractions. Motorists entering the park from the south on California 79 will be able to tune their AM radios to 1610 to hear a repeated message.
The park will inaugurate the station in an 11 a.m. ceremony today at Green Valley Campground, about nine miles north of Interstate 8.
The Cuyamaca Rancho State Park Interpretive Assn. and the Willis Fletcher Foundation are funding the station.
