Nine alleged street gang members were jailed by Compton police in early morning raids on eight homes and a crash-pad bus. Police Cmdr. Terry Ebert said two of those arrested on outstanding warrants were Eric Garrett, 18, and Dennis Reed, 24, wanted in the killing of a 30-year-old man in a Compton park last month. Weapons seized included a shotgun, a .22-caliber pistol and a .38-caliber revolver. Three others picked up in the simultaneous raids by 40 officers were released, Ebert said.
