A man who disappeared more than four years ago while facing a murder charge in the stabbing death of his wife walked into the Pasadena police station and surrendered. Juan Jose Macias, 39, was arrested in December, 1980, after his 27-year-old wife, Daisy, was fatally stabbed with a butcher knife during an altercation in front of their home in Pasadena, police said. A Pasadena Superior Court judge issued a warrant for the arrest of Macias in August, 1981, after Macias, who was free on $100,000 bond, missed a scheduled court appearance. Police Sgt. Val Anthony said Macias turned himself in to Pasadena police without explanation.
