Gov. George Deukmejian’s nomination of Judge Robert Devich to the 2nd District Court of Appeal has been unanimously confirmed by the Commission on Judicial Appointments. The commission consisted of Chief Justice Rose Elizabeth Bird, Atty. Gen. John Van de Kamp and Lester Roth, senior presiding justice of the appellate district. Devich, 59, succeeds retired Justice Vincent Dalsmimer in the $88,264-a-year post.
