A ‘MIAMI VICE’ ROLE FOR VEEP?

A cameo appearance by Vice President George Bush on NBC’s “Miami Vice” to dramatize the Administration’s fight against drug smuggling has been discussed with the producers but Bush has made no commitment, a spokesman said Monday.

Marlin Fitzwater, the vice president’s press secretary, said, “We had one conversation with the producers. It was an idea that came up to dramatize the interdiction efforts in south Florida.”

He said that his staff had been in touch with the producers before Christmas and since then there has been one telephone call from the producers “saying they are interested.”
