A woman in Scranton, Pa., stabbed her husband five times after he refused to go out for a pizza during the first half of the AFC championship game between the Miami Dolphins and New England Patriots, police said.

Edward Kaushas, 33, was in serious condition at Scranton State General Hospital, police said. His wife, Sandra, 29, was charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person and simple assault, police said.

Lt. William Thomas said Mrs. Kaushas asked her husband to go out for pizza, then became angry when he refused. Thomas said she stabbed Kaushas in the face with a steak knife, which fell onto the floor as they struggled. When Kaushas stood up, his wife picked up the knife and stabbed him four times in the back, Thomas said.
