Proper Name for City of Angels

Kraim says he is “sick and tired” of Los Angeles being referred to as “L.A.” With one exception most nicknames are out of respect.

San Francisco is called “Frisco” (although the natives get hostile hearing it). Las Vegas is “Lost Wages,” New York is “The Big Apple,” Dallas is “Big D,” Chicago is “Chi” or “Windy City,” Boston is “Beantown,” Detroit is “Motown,” and I won’t even mention what every sailor and ex-sailor has tagged Norfolk, Va., with for a nickname! (Ask one.)
