‘Big Spin’ Gets Even Bigger--$5 Million
The “progressive” prize in the California Lottery’s Game 3 rose to almost $5 million Saturday when 10 contestants who spun the state’s six-foot lottery wheel failed to win it.
Another 20 holders of prize-winning tickets get a shot at it Jan. 25, with the jackpot starting at $4.95 million.
Only three of the wheel’s 100 stops win the “progressive” prize, which increases by $65,000 every time a contestant fails to get it.
The 13th weekly “Big Spin” show, taped for television release later in the day, produced no major winners in either Game 3 or in Game 2, where the top money is fixed at $3 million.
