Creative Computer Applications posted a profit of $124,018 in its first quarter ended Nov. 30, up from a $57,889 loss in the same quarter last year. The Calabasas-based company, which makes equipment that records laboratory test results, said its sales increased 99% to $1.4 million for the quarter.
Company officials attributed the improved results to more aggressive marketing. In addition, about $52,000 of Creative Computer’s profits resulted from tax benefits stemming from the company’s previous losses.
