Rancho P.V. : Median to Be Cleaned

The City Council appropriated $6,000 in general funds Tuesday to scrape off the deteriorating artificial turf from the median on Hawthorne Boulevard. After several months of searching for an inexpensive means of removing the dirty, torn material, the city settled on using long-handled scrapers like those used by roofers to remove tar paper from roofs.
The median will be stripped and cleaned. Nothing will be applied to cover the bare concrete.
