UCI Women Defeat UNLV in Tennis, 9-0

The UC Irvine women’s tennis team tuned up for its match with seventh-ranked UCLA by whipping Nevada Las Vegas Friday, 9-0, in a nonconference match at Irvine.

UCI’s Haruko Shigekawa beat Cindy Lauer in the No. 1 singles match, 7-5, 6-1. The Anteaters (3-1) play at UCLA today at 11:30.
