The medical director of an AIDS blood-testing clinic which has come under attack in the Los Angeles City Council faces a license revocation hearing in an unrelated incident. Dr. Melbourne Stevenson, medical director for the National Assn. for AIDS Awareness, will go before the Medical Quality Assurance Board for filing false MediCal claims in 1984, state officials said. No date has been set for the hearing. Stevenson pleaded guilty in Los Angeles Superior Court in 1984 to two counts of filling false MediCal claims.
