Simi Stabbing Victim Identified as Transient

The victim of a fatal stabbing discovered Saturday in Simi Valley was identified by police Sunday as Derek Lawrence Van Dusen, 33, of Simi Valley.
Van Dusen, a transient, died of multiple stab wounds to the upper body, Sgt. Bob Robbins said.
His body was found Saturday morning in a vacant house in the 1800 block of Patricia Avenue after an unidentified caller notified police.
Robbins said there is no suspect and no motive.
