An Illinois man in New Orleans for the Super Bowl died late Sunday after falling more than 25 feet from a ramp to a parking lot at the Superdome.
Police said Patrick Davin, 32, of Decatur, Ill., was sitting on the concrete guard rail on the ramp that connects the Superdome with the Hyatt Hotel and fell backward, landing on a parked car, police spokesman John Marie said.
Davin’s wife told police that he was pushed by the crowd on the ramp, Marie said. But officers in the area said there was no crowd near Davin when he fell.
