Venice : Suit Filed Over Playa Vista
The Venice Town Council has filed a lawsuit against the city of Los Angeles, charging that an environmental impact report on the proposed 803-acre Playa Vista project was “inadequate, inaccurate and incomplete.”
The Town Council, an unofficial body, contends that the Playa Vista development, which is located near Venice, will cause significant traffic, sewage, environmental and housing problems. The council is asking the courts to review the environmental impact report. It also wants the city to conduct further public hearings on the project.
